About Scott

Scott Daigle grew up in a small town in Massachusetts. He faced years of abuse as a child and learned to survive in a home without safety or love. These hardships continued until he was an adult, where he experienced homelessness and loss of relationships. This adversity pushed him to make a change, and he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Six months later, he was off to war, fighting on the foreign soil of Afghanistan.

He returned home, and became a leader of men, going back to overseas once more, this time with lives in his hands. When he returned, there were struggles to adjust to home life, something he was all too familiar with. He pushed through the remaining time in the military and was honorably discharged in 2013. At the end of that year, once again facing turmoil, he would meet the woman who would become his wife and rock, stabilizing his life, and supporting him through the highs and lows. Years passed, and the trauma of war and childhood grew, burrowing its way to the surface until it could no longer be ignored. Then the work started. Work on himself was first, with writing being the catalyst for positive change. His first published novel, No Exit Wounds, spawned from that work, a way to heal and move forward with a life he deserved.

Scott Daigle continues to reside in Massachusetts with his wife and dog, and is currently working on a new project, a collection of short stories about his time in service. Stay tuned.
